Joe Proto has four decades in the financial technology and banking industry as a senior executive and serial entrepreneur. Joe built Transactis (now part of FIS) into a leading payments company serving 25 of the largest 50 banks which was acquired by Mastercard in 2019. He launched REMITCO, a payments company acquired in 2000 by First Data, and later acquired by Deluxe. He co‐founded Financial Telesis (CashFlex) which was acquired in 1992 by CoreStates, now part of Wells Fargo. Joe served as chairman of DadeSystems (B2B integrated receivables) acquired in 2022 by Versapay a Great Hill company.

Joe is chairman of Finexio (automated AP technology) and is a board director at LendKey (lending technology serving over four hundred credit unions and community banks); board director at Green Check Verified (regulatory compliance for community banks and credit unions in the cannabis industry); and is a board director at Identifee (founded by former Wells Fargo alumni serving banks of all sizes with AI driven deposit growth technology). Joe is on the Google Cloud executive advisory board; is a member of various financial services organizations; and is a frequent speaker at regional banking associations, NACHA and conferences in the banking and financial technology industry.
